Remington 1903-A3 - 99% Remington
Remington 1903-A3 - 99% Remington

Remington Model 1903-A3 .30-06 in good condition.

Adjustable rear peep sight mounted to the top of the bridge, and blade front sight.

It is stamped on the left side of the stock above the trigger with an insignia I can't make out and the letters FJA and AR which stand for Frank J Atwater, the inspector at the Ratan Arsenal.

The right side of the butt is stamped with the numbers 4720,also behind the receiver it is stamped with the numbers 49.

Stamped on the far end of the receiver is U.S. Remington Model 03-A3 with the serial number 3717XXX and, according to the serial number, was manufactured in 1942 but is stamped on the barrel 4-43 indicating it was manufactured in April,1943.

On the barrel, just before the front sight, the letters AR appear again as well as a picture of a lit bomb.

On the bottom side of the stock just above the receiver are various stamps of shapes with numbers inside them.

There is no significant damage, rust,or pitting on the any of the metal parts including the bore. There is a crack in the butt stock where it was stamped 49 and several nicks and scratches which are understandable considering it's age.

All parts but the top fore end are original Remington.
